To the north east of CHIA there are the wonderful exceptionally fine sand dunes where the centuries-old juniper trees grow. About two km. From the centre is the Porto Campana beach, whereas Su Cardolinu stretches alongside theruins of Bithia. Then there is the Su Giudeu beach with extremely white sand, crystal clear sea and dunes of up to 20 m. in height.
Only one km. From Chia, dominated by a Spanish tower, are the Porticciolo and Colonia beaches. About 4 km beyond Su Giudeu you arrive at Cala Cipolla lying between two granite promontories, while Cala del Morto is further south.
