Arcipelago de la Maddalena

It is certainly the best known island because of its famous Spiaggia Rosa whose pink colour is due to a micro organism called Miniacina miniacea especially abundant here. Presently the beach is less pink because of pollution; therefore the National Park has forbidden the access to the beach to allow the restoration of its natural conditions.
Other interesting inlets are Spiaggia del Cavaliere, Cala Trana, Cala Cisternone and Cala Piotto, going counterclockurse.
