Natural Marine Park Tavolara – Punta Coda Cavallo The natural area interests the northern coast of Sardinia, from Capo Ceraso, at the north, to Punta Isuledda, at the south, including the islands of Tavolara and Molara and other little islands and rocks, part of the communes of Olbia, Loiri Porto San Paolo and San Teodoro. Created in 1997, the park boats about 80 kilometres of coasts of different natural interest and characteristics. In the marine universe, until 30-35 meters, you can find the oceanic Posidonia, sponges, crawfish, squill, white breams, rhombus, soles, groupers; more deeper, there are coralliferous formations. At a limit of 40 meters are spectacular gorgonia. The coasts are characterized by cliffs, until 100 meters high, where nest many raptorials such as “Bonelli” eagle, hawks, and Corsican sea-gull.
