Osini lies along the road leading from Gairo to Jerzu in the Valle del Pardu where the landscapes deserve a visit on their own. Also Osini is divided into two villages: Osini Nuova buit after 1951, and a little further away Osini Vecchia abandoned between 1951 and 1956 after a terrible flood. The village is very pictoresque with narrow lanes, houses with wooden front doors framed by light blue and pink haloes and a 16th century little church set among buildings and farming tools. Nearby ther is the Serbissis nuraghe site, at a short distance from S’Orku neolithic tomb, which according to a legend was the burial site of imaginary gigantic beings. The peculiarity of the site made up by 8 nuraghic towers lies in its being built above an enourmous natural cave. On the highest peak of the mountain dominating the village there are the remains of an old building, possibly a medioeval castle.
