Situated at the base of the Tacchi Mountain, Ulassai offers unique landscapes and views, due to its position. Because of the narrowness of the area in which it stands, the village is characterized by narrow winding streets and by houses built on many floors, among which is a beautiful Palazzo Comunale, the Berigau Arch on the homonymous square and the ancient wash house. The surroundings are quite interesting with many springs that in heavy rain periods create suggestive waterfalls such as the one of Lequarci at S.Barbara with a fall that raeches 100 metres. Just above the waterfall is Su Marmuri cave, one of the most impressive in the area. With its 1000 metres length and 30-50 metres height. Along the path to the cave you meet some interesting artworks by Marcia Lai and Costantino Nivola.
