BAJA SARDINIA

At about 20 km from Arzachena, at the eastern end of the Gulf, by the BATTISTANI beach, the village gathers around its lively little square facing the main beach. A resort custom-made for tourists, with hostels, villas, bars, restaurants, shops, whose development has been equalled to that of nearby Costa Smeralda. Besides its beach activities Baja Sardinia is well known for its exciting nightlife. Moving away from the centre, to the east stands the Colle di Battistoni, from where you can enjoy a splendid view over Costa Smeralda. Quite interesting the coast towards TRE MONTI and FORTE CAPPELLINI with its little bays and rocks. FPRTE CAPPELLINI was built in 1700 by Piedmontese army fitting well in the coastal scenery. TRE MONTI named after three granite rocks, offers a suggestive refuge for boats and bathers. Also included are excursions destinations like that to the Capo Ferro peninsula, facing the ISOLETTE DI CAPPUCCINI and ISOLETTE DELLA BISCIA. On the way to Porto Cervo you reach Poltu Quattu, with a modern and roomy Marina, and Pitrizza beach, toward Arzachena you find Cala Bitta and Lu Nibarru. For lovers of trekking, Monte Morro with its charming walks is an ideal destination.
