At about 20 km from Olbia and about 10 Km from ARZACHENA, close by Punta CUGNANA, there is S. Pantaleo, set in a picturesque scenery with granite panoramas and cork tree and evergreen oak woods, habitual destination of painters and sculptors.
Born in the XIX century from the development of a farm, the little town is dominated by Monti di S. Pantaleo, which reach 450 mt at Punta Murone. The town is a cradle of artist and high level artistic workshops, were they work granite, iron and a special clay called gres, obtained by the local rocks and similar to ceramics, usually decorated with natural colours. Not to be missed!
Among the most relevant events: Festa di S. Pantaleo, on the last Sunday of July: DANCE MARATHON, at the end of August in the main square; Festa di S. Salvatore da Horta, in MONTI CANAGLIA, on the first Sunday of May.
